Resilient Michigan Investment Strategy Summit
February 21-22, 2023 | Detroit, MI
The Resilient Michigan Investment Strategy Summit aims to facilitate change by modernizing Michigan manufacturing, enabling global competitiveness in emerging industries such as EVs and AI, and fostering equitable participation in clean economy development for underserved urban and rural stakeholders.
Federal, state, philanthropic, municipal bond, impact, institutional, and international investors seeking U.S. opportunities will convene with technical assistance experts and community leaders to build a shovel-worthy and investment-ready project pipeline in Michigan and the surrounding region for the next decade.
Day one of the summit features the workshop “Innovation, Sustainability, and Climate,” hosted by the University of Michigan. This session explores the university’s initiatives driving sustainable growth for Michigan, including smart infrastructure and equitable practices. The evening will end with a Welcome Reception.
Day two starts with a welcome and fireside chat featuring Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Karen Kornbluh, Senior Advisor at the Milken Institute.
Throughout the day, attendees will engage in plenary panels covering opportunities in autos, advanced manufacturing, AI, and more, as well as discussions on building American-made energy and identifying new project catalysts. The day also includes lunch panels and implementation breakout sessions on resilient supply chains, community-scale infrastructure, workforce development, and decarbonization.
The summit will conclude with a closing keynote and townhall with Deputy Secretary Don Graves from the Department of Commerce.
